Also involved in writing on architecture, art and urban issues.
Dariusz Smiechowski
Msc architect, lecturer at Interior Design Faculty, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, landscape design (Warsaw Rural Academy) and anthropology of space & architecture (Warsaw University). Participant and leader of projects and programmes concerned with sustainability in architecture, urban design and community building. Co-author of public spaces projects and educational projects in a number of regions and places. The main area of interest: how environmental consciousness and democratic processes can meet and find their right form.

A landscape architect and teacher. A member and collaborator of various NGOs promoting environmental, cultural and architectural education (Akademia Łucznica Association, Poland GAP Foundation, Foundation of Creators of Polish Architecture, Association Children for Future). Organiser of many educational workshops eg. ’Genius loci’ in Gdynia and ‘Journeys in a Forgotten Landscape’, Osieck, Poland, in 2006-2000. Co-author of the first Polish programme of architectural education (Dialogue with the Surroundings) approved by The Polish Ministry of Education and Science in Dec 2005 and included on the approved list of programmes in the National Curriculum.
